Franchise
Village Networks has developed a franchise package to enable other communities to take advantage of our developed systems, from backhaul supply, through to local distribution, network management and customer administration.

If you would like to explore how we can develop a wireless network in your area, and give you the opportunity to make money from its operation we would be pleased to talk to you.  If you would like to operate it as a community project this can be accommodated in the franchise arrangement.

Village Networks will source, supply, manage and maintain the broadband backhaul into your community.  We will also supply full start up training and ongoing training as the business develops. Once we have an outline agreement with you we will design the network the system and equipment to enable your franchise areas to receive broadband.

Stages to join Village Networks

• If you are in an area of the country that cannot or is unlikely to receive Broadband, find out if there is a local group lobbying to bring Broadband to the area. Ask questions and find out how many people want broadband in your town or village – using local contacts it’s not difficult to find out who’s interested.

• Contact us via the website -  we are happy to talk through the options and it will give us the chance to assess your location and the proposed area you would like to cover. If we think we can help you we will need to arrange a meeting to discuss the proposal in more detail.

• The first meeting will take place in Steeple Claydon  - our base.  Here you will get the chance to see a network in action and study the high level of customer service that we provide. We will discuss your proposed area with you, and we’ll explain about what we will do and what’s expected of you.  We’ll outline the business plan models we’ve developed and we’ll use our knowledge of the grants that might be available to support rural broadband programmes.

• After that we’ll agree a plan to include the development of a roll-out programme, and the formal agreements needed to put the franchise on an official footing.
